Rotational Weight Transfer Exercises
Exercise 1: Vipr Ballerinas
Improves:
- Transverse (rotational) plane weight transfer
- Landing stability and balance
- Body awareness and movement efficiency
Exercise 2: Kettlebell Biad
Improves:
- Weight Transfer in the Transverse (rotational) plane
- Loading and exploding out of the back leg
- Combining Speed, explosiveness and control of the movement
Exercise 3: Bosu Galloping Goblin
Improves:
- Transverse (rotational) weight transfer
- Quick ground contact time
- Controlling your body on an unstable surface
Exercise 4: 180 degree Med ball Slam Single leg land
Improves:
- Weight Transfer in the transverse (rotational plane)
- Single leg stability and landing mechanics
- Spatial awareness
This hockey weight transfer workout will get you some serious rotational speed and explosiveness! Although it looks quick and simple, many of these movements can be complicated and require some strength and movement prerequisites.
