The Move – Look – Feel – Amaze… Scholarship
There are many ways to define a person who lives a healthy lifestyle. Someone who lifts heavy weights three to four times a week and goes to the gym may consider themselves healthy. Another person may do 30 minutes of cardio and core seven days a week, while watching what they eat here and there.
The question is: which is considered healthy?
Training Aspects would like to introduce a lifestyle and fitness scholarship that highlights additional areas of fitness. As an independent scholarship, we will offer $800 to first place and $250 to the girl who shows the most improvement between March 14, 2026 and May 31, 2026.
Rules and Regulations
- The competition begins March 14, 2026 and will run through May 31, 2026.
- There will be a meeting and initial testing on March 14, 2026.
- To be eligible, you must have competed in a local competition during the 2025–2026 Miss New Jersey year or be an at-large contestant.
- Testing days are set, and we would like all participants together for testing. We understand some participants may be away at school or live far away; however, you must attend at least one group testing day to participate.
- If you are unable to attend the start testing day or finish testing day, a make-up testing day may be scheduled for an additional $50 fee.
Testing Dates
- Start testing: March 14, 2026
- Finish testing: Sunday, May 31, 2026 and Monday June 1.
- Testing must be completed at Training Aspects, located in Voorhees, NJ.
- You may train on your own or work with a trainer outside of Training Aspects.
- If you are training on your own or using a trainer outside of Training Aspects, there will be a one-time, non-refundable $50 participation fee due to time spent on testing days.
- If you are currently training with Training Aspects or plan to train with Training Aspects during the scholarship period, there will be no participation fee.
How Do You Win?
We will test the following categories:
- Body Fat and Measurements (Styku — 3D Body Scanner)
- Muscular Endurance (example: how many squats can you complete in 3 minutes?)
- Muscular Strength (example: highest jump)
- Mobility (defined by range of motion)
- Cardio (example: how far can you run in 12 minutes?)
- Nutrition (nutrition logging, easy points)
- Wild Cards (a challenging exercise completed within a set time frame)
- Obstacle Course: 3–5 exercises completed within a set time
The top three participants in each category will receive points: 3 points for first, 2 points for second, and 1 point for third. The girl with the best overall scores will receive the Move • Look • Feel Award on the Miss New Jersey stage. The girl that improves the most between the start and finish will also be awarded their scholarship on the Miss NJ stage.
Specific test exercises will be announced during our first week.
Why This Award Matters
This award is meant to better define what true health and fitness look like. If you compare an elite marathon runner, an elite gymnast, and an elite basketball player, you will see three very different body types, yet all are incredibly fit.
This scholarship promotes motivation and healthy fitness habits while encouraging improvement across multiple areas of fitness to build a stronger, healthier lifestyle. It also helps strengthen camaraderie among the 2025 – 2026 Miss New Jersey community.
This will be the third “Move – Look – Feel” award, and everyone who has participated in the past has had a great experience. We’re excited to bring it back and look forward to another great year!
If you’re ready, and want to participate- please fill out the form.
We look forward to working with you!
