Creating consistency can be challenging. There are many tricks to increase effectiveness, many are by adding. In this article, the focus will be what to get rid of to create success. Here are three things that may affect your ability for success.
It may not be perfect, keep moving forward-
“If it’s not perfect, then It wont work?”
It doesn’t need to be perfect, don’t stop the momentum. People wait for the “perfect time,” the “perfect plan,” or feel like missing one day ruins everything. In reality, progress beats perfection every time.
Fix it: If it’s not perfect, that’s ok. Get started and problem solve on the way. That’s way better than not starting at all.
Lack of Structure or Routine- create guidelines not rules
“I want to be consistent, but I can’t…”
If there’s no structure—no schedule, reminders, or clear plan—it’s easy to get thrown off by distractions or daily stress. Even motivated people struggle without a framework.
Fix it: Create a repeatable system. Set your workout days, prep meals in advance, or use a calendar to track habits. Let the routine carry you when motivation fades.
3. Short-Term thinking over whats the overall plan
“I’m not seeing results fast enough.”
When people expect fast results, they give up too soon. If you’re only chasing quick wins, you’ll stop when things slow down. Real transformation takes time. Don’t create a strict plan, create a loose game plan thats flexible and know where that plan is taking you.
Fix it: Zoom out. Think long-term. Remind yourself of the bigger vision. Celebrate small wins and trust that showing up consistently will lead to change.
