Boxing Training for All Men: Sparring at TA Boxing, Voorhees NJ

Sparring Sessions at TA Boxing

Boxing and Sparring for All Men

The Mission of TA Boxing

At TA Boxing, our goal is not to create amateur or professional fighters, our mission is to teach men from all walks of life the art of boxing. No matter your age, ethnicity, background, profession, political views, or religious beliefs, we firmly believe every man should know how to defend himself and experience the reality of standing toe-to-toe with another man in the center of the ring.

Support for Fighters and the Everyday Man

While we welcome amateur and pro fighters to train at and utilize our facility, if you’re pursuing a competitive career, we’re happy to guide you toward a gym better suited for that journey. At TA, our focus is on men who want to train for the mental and physical therapeutic benefits that only the combat sport of boxing can provide.

The Sparring Sessions: Controlled and Safe

We hold sparring sessions for members once a week, offering both an early bird and an evening option. Participation is optional, and the sessions are always controlled. We train and spar hard, but safety comes first—we teach, push and build each other up, not break each other down. While boxing is known as “the hurt game,” we strive to send our members home in a stronger physical condition and mental state than when they arrived.

The Risks of Uncontrolled Sparring

Uncontrolled sparring can lead to serious, lifelong health issues, including head trauma and injuries. Many old fighters have suffered life-altering complications due to gym wars and sparring night in and night out. That’s why we limit sparring to once a week, striking a balance between training hard and protecting our members’ well-being.
