Quick Hockey Conditioning Workout
Everyone is always looking for that quick workout that will get the most results…well here it is! This workout is about as effective as it gets when it comes to improving hockey conditioning as well as movement efficiency, strength and explosiveness!
This Hockey conditioning workout is all about developing quick explosive movements while increasing weight transfer development. Two essential attributes to any elite hockey player!
The Workout: 30 Sec on, 15 sec off, Repeat 5x
1. 90 Degree Jump Lunges – Load the front leg, explode and rotate at a 90 degree angle, absorb the landing.
2. Around the World Explosive Pushups – Explode and absorb each landing as you rotate your body around in a circle. Keep core tight.
3. Getup Jump Lunge – Focus on transferring your weight forward from the ground. Jump and absorb into a jump Lunge switch.
4. Lateral Jump Touches – Explode laterally and touch the cone on each side. Get the body tall on each jump. Absorb into the landing
5. Rotational Skater jumps – Load up on one leg and explode. Rotate the body 90 degrees and land on the opposite foot. Spring right into the next skater jump.
This workout will get you some results! Although it is quick and simple, many of these movements can be complicated and require some strength and movement prerequisites.
