Want to start working out- Tips from a performance coach

Personal trainer for weight loss and body fat loss

Three Most Common Questions for a Personal Trainer:

Get results in your health, fitness and performance goals. Lose body fat gain muscle, the right way! Though we are all unique, the questions and challenges we face when starting something new are often the same. It’s important to understand the commitments required to achieve your goal. Find a plan or personal trainer who can help you create new habits and then stay consistent with them in your lifestyle. With that said, here are three popular questions often asked of personal trainers about their programs:

  1. “The best way to start a workout routine if I’m a beginner?”

Start with an assessment with a personal trainer. Meet with the trainer you’ll be working with and ensure you can commit to the program as well as have good chemistry with them. When starting a new training program, it can be challenging to stay consistent if results don’t come as quickly as desired. Find a trainer you respect and enjoy working with; otherwise, those tough periods when results and motivation are low will be hard to overcome.
  2. “How can I create a balanced workout plan?”

Creating a plan with various workout apps, AI programs, and monthly subscription programs can be helpful for some. However, the best way to achieve results “quickly” is to get assessed by a personal trainer with a proven track record. There are many programs out there! Invest in at least 3 to 6 months of training with someone you feel comfortable working with. Ask about the process they’ve used for others, what they envision for you, and ensure you can commit to following that process. If not, find someone else whose program you can commit to.
  3. “How often should I work out to see results?”

The most challenging part about training and working out is that it’s not a short-term action—it’s a lifetime commitment. To truly be healthy, the human body needs movement, not just cardio, weights, or yoga, but consistent and varied movement! It’s like a Rubik’s Cube: if you complete one side, that’s great, but there are more sides to address. Training and working out don’t have to be complicated, but getting the right program is essential for keeping both body and mind truly healthy and confident.

Training isn’t complicated! Once you establish the proper habits, it just becomes a natural part of your routine.
